Hey there! Of course, you want to know more about the person who will hear your story and know all the things. I get it. I’ve been there. Talking about all the things, wondering how it’s sounding, and feeling exposed and vulnerable is not something we often sign up for.
So what I can tell you about me is that I”m a real person, no stranger to doing the work or feeling the things. I don’t wear a counseling hat when I’m at the office and take it off at the end of the day as I shift seamlessly to the other roles in my life. (That seems a little robotic) I am who I am. I care deeply for people. I look for the good in others and have a knack for seeing the (understandable) reasons why people do what they do. And I believe most of us are doing the best we can. The truth is, I think all of us have a heart of gold inside. But at times, we need someone to come into the shadows and bring light to help find that gold. It’s an honor to be the one who gets to come alongside you and provide encouragement, perspective, and guidance for your journey.
I live and work in Conway, Arkansas. Most of what I do is counseling. But I also co-host a podcast with my friend and fellow therapist, Leah Carvajal entitled “Let’s Unravel That”. I also speak at women’s gatherings in our community. When I’m “off work” I enjoy brunch with friends, reading, gardening or drinking the coffee.
